The white markings you see on the roadways and in some yards are the result of Point Broadband (formerly Hagerstown Fiber) installing an optical fiber network in the neighborhood. The fiber system will provide high bandwidth Internet access as an alternative to other services.

This service is considered a utility and they have county approval to move forward.  The HOA By-laws provide for a 10-foot utility easement at the front of each lot and an 8-foot utility easement along the sides and rear of each lot. Point Broadband has been made aware of these restrictions.

Point Broadband will be using a recessed plastic connection box to install the individual home service points and network connections. We will post photos of the box and a typical installation on this web site.
